AC Milan's parent company insist they are not selling the club despite Rezart Taci's claim that he is ready to buy them out for 700million euros.

Speculation has increased that owner Silvio Berlusconi may be prepared to sell to help offset the 750million euro fine his family company have been ordered to pay a rival firm.

However, Fininvest deny they are even considering offloading their 100% stake in the Serie A giants.

"In relation to the repeated indiscretions in the press, Fininvest see themselves forced once again to deny, in the most peremptory and absolute way, that there exists any talk of sale, even partial, of their shares in AC Milan," read a statement on www.acmilan.com.

Taci revealed earlier in the day in an interview with Gazzetta dello Sport that he has talked to Berlusconi.

Despite the Italian Prime Minister telling him the club was not for sale, the Albanian oil magnate is confident that is not the end of the matter.

"I have the 700million to buy Milan," said Taci.

"And I intend to strengthen them.

"I have already talked about it with Berlusconi. He told me he didn't intend to sell, but I know that if I came into the matter he would take my offer into consideration.

"The money wouldn't be a problem. My company is used to taking on relevant commitments and seeing them through to the end."

It is not the first time Taci has been linked with a Serie A club as he was close to buying Bologna in the summer.

He has revealed the reason he pulled out of the deal is because of the realisation the Rossoneri could soon be on the market.

"You have to be careful of mistakes," added Taci.

"Everything was done for Bologna, but I didn't change my mind because of financial reasons.

"Did someone advise me to wait for Milan? Let's just say that as a Rossoneri fan I considered it best to be patient for a bit longer.

"Why should I mess around the Bologna fans if in the meantime a bigger door could open?"

AC Milan are prepared to let Klaas-Jan Huntelaar go after a series of disappointing displays by the ex-Real striker.

The Italians have been struggling for results under new coach Leonardo and according to Il Corriere Dello Sport, it has been suggested that Milan have pinpointed Huntelaar as one of their major disappointments.

They are now prepared to ditch the Dutchman in favour of Tottenham striker Roman Pavlyuchenko. Milan are also keen in ex-Inter striker Adriano.
