ARSENE WENGER insists Spurs have work to do if they are to be mentioned in the same breath as his Arsenal team.
Gunners chief Wenger said: "Tottenham have had success historically - but now there is a lot of work to do.
"We've had 12 consecutive years in the Champions League so once they manage that they'll be similar to us.
"You can never say never. They have potential and got the fanbase.
"What comes after that is the consistency of the achievement and at the moment we're in front.
"They were close to getting into the Champions League in 2006. Tottenham are always a threat. They're a big club and always invest big money into the team but we manage to get in front of them.
"Yet their manager Harry Redknapp has shown through his experience andintelligence that he can do it. He's done a good job as they were fighting relegation."
