Tempted S1 E2 (Part 2)Duration: 0:19 FINAL PART! (If you didn't already, please watch the video too!) I walked through the door and sure enough Joe was out like a light on the couch, a dull cigarette hanging from his fingers. I yanked it from him, disgusted, and put it out in the ashtray beside him. Ugh, he knows I hate him smoking, let alone in the house. I shook his shoulders a little, "Wake up, we're suppose to go to brunch and you have class in one hour." He woke up and rubbed his temples, "Class? Let's skip today, let loose!" I rolled my eyes, "How many times do I have to tell you not to smoke cigarettes in the apartment! It makes our place smell like an ashtray." He laughed hysterically and looked up with me, his eyes bloodshot, "Who said they were ciggs, D?" I slapped his shoulder, "You're HIGH in the apartment, Joe?! What are you thinking?!" He continued laughing and then his face got serious, "Yes" he said and then his face twisted into yet another wild laugh. "Oh. My. God. What am I going to do with you? Come on, were going to iHop, no one there will notice you're high." I helped him up and grabbed his keys from his pocket. He smelled terrible so I made him hop in the shower first as I sat on the couch tossing the keys up in the air repeatedly. Fifteen minutes later we were at iHop, Joe sat across from me, his tousled curls still damp. "Did my mom call you about Thanksgiving?" Thank God, the weed was wearing off of him. I looked up from my menu and replied, "No, why?" He set his menu down and motioned for a waiter to come over, "She said she was going to. They want you to come up for Thanksgiving break. Ya wanna? Chocolate chip pancakes and a black coffee please?" He said to me and then the waiter, he wrote it down in his pad and looked over at me but before I could reply Joe did for me, "Waffles, hold the strawberry, double the syrup, with bacon and sausage on the side. Oh, and a hot chocolate with extra whipped cream." The waiter smiled and wrote it all down then took our menus from us. "Do I look mute, and why are you getting pancakes again?" Joe laughed, he knew me all too well. "I don't know why you even bother to look at the menu when you always get the same thing and I'm hungry again" His voice went low, "I've got the munchies." I laughed, "Well, okay then. Anyways, Sel's parents are going to Italy for their anniversary and I just promised her that I would stay on campus in her room to keep her company." He twisted his lips in though, "Sounds sexy. She can come too. Mom met her last summer when she and Dad came to visit; she loved her so I'm sure she won't mind. And then she can meet Nick." I raised my eyebrows at him, "Are you sure?" He laughed and replied, "Of course." I fiddled with my napkin, "Cool, I'm excited to see Nick, Kevin and Frankie anyways. Kev is coming up too right?" He nodded. Kevin works in Florida as the CEO of some advertisement company and Nick is a sophomore at Penn State. Joe and I are seniors at the University of Tennessee, as is Selena. Joe and I have been best friends since freshman year; he dated or to be more precise, hooked up with, my friend Taylor for a while. Thats how we met. She graduated last year but they ended things like a week after they started but Joe and I remained friends. We never tried for anything more than that because we were good together, as friends. He was like a big brother to me, but less brotherly and more of an amazing friend who has been there for me through everything, and hes a little more perverted than a brother. But anyways, the first day we met we practically spilled everything about each other because it was just that easy. Hes a great listener and would make a great boyfriend but hes too stubborn to give up his player ways. Im glad were just friends though because if we werent then things would end and hed be gone from me, and I couldnt have that. He was the only one who knew every little thing about me, cover to cover; my parents negligence, my issues with depression in high school and why I try so hard in school to keep my grade point average at a 4.0. Never, could I ever, imagine us being more than friends. Thats ridiculous, dont you think? [Comments, please! (:] |
